World Card Making Day

As a military brat and a free American, I can't say or do enough to thank our Soldiers for all that they and their families sacrifice for me and mine. I love my country and the Soldiers that fight for it.

We will be hosting a Card Party on October 1st from 10 am until 6pm. This will be a free potluck style event. Scrap That! will donate left over product from sample pages and projects to help in your card making.

Please bring card bases, envelopes, stamps and stamp pads, quality adhesives, your tools and whatever else you think you will need to make your cards. NO GLITTER PLEASE

We will have an Operation Write Home stamp on site to stamp the back of the cards.

At the end of the day, ALL completed cards will be donated to Operation Write Home.

If you would like to sign up for this event, please call the store to do so. Please be prepared to let us know what you will be bringing for the Pot Luck.

New Store Policy

Feeling very angry and discouraged that we have to post signs in our store asking future shoppers to not bring their large handbags into our store because I have items that are leaving the store without getting paid for.

It's hard enough to be a small business trying to make it in this economy, now we have to deal with the loss of our inventory and the loss of the money we would have made from it to buy new inventory.

Discovering today that two whole spools of our expensive Prima rose trim has gone missing, I searched everywhere I could think of to recover the missing items, I looked in the office area, on the floor, behind the register, in the drawers, in the trashcans and even called Karen to have her check her bags to make sure she didn't take them home by mistake. I came up with a big fat zero.

Now I can only hope that our customers can understand when we have to ask them to leave their bags in their cars or behind the register when they come in. We apologize to you, our customers who support us and our business, that their are people out there that feel its ok to just take what they want without paying for it.

National Scrapbook Day 2011

It was amazing.....with the help of my silent partner, we planned and executed a smooth and successful NSD crop. The first one in our new location.

We were a bit worried about the load on the circuits with the cooking we needed to do but with several Ott lites, Cricuts, computers, and roasters plugged in we cooked dinner with out a hitch. It was wonderful not to have circuits popping on us like we did in our first location.

We had several demos and a make n take, yummy food, goodie bags, games and prizes and a grand prize.

Thanks to my silent partner and my Volunteers....mom and Yvette for all the work you did and the help you gave. It wouldn't have worked without you. I love you guys!

And thanks to all my wonderful customers for your support.....we really appreciate it.

The Paper Chase

This is only our 2nd year participating in the NW Paper Chase. The original person who organized the Paper Chase decided to move on to other things, fortunately for all of us, a gal in Cali took over the responsibility of organizing and working out all of the details with all of the participating stores. Thanks Rachel, because of you we are all having the experience of a fantastic shop hop.

There were some concerns voiced about all of the changes and stores that have gone out of business and how that would affect the outcome of the Paper Chase.

We had fewer stores participating this year and two stores even decided not participate in the official "Chase" and do something on their own. That certainly was a disappointment to us scrapbook store owners and customers as well, but all of that aside the Paper
Chase this year has been exceptional so far and we are only 3 days in. Thank you to all the customers and stores who have made this so exciting and such a success.

This year the overall theme of the "Chase" was movie/theater. Each store choose their own movie and decorated and prepared charms and make n takes according to the movie that they have chosen.

Our movie theme is Twilight and we have had so much fun with it. We have the movie playing, popcorn popping, and posters for picture taking. Our charm is a Lampworks red glass apple that seems to be the most colorful of all the charms. Our take n make is also a big hit with the words "Bite Me" across the top of the page.

I can't wait for next years Chase!

The possibilities of this product is endless. Our samples are filled with candy. I used the "Magic Wand" and the SRM Birthday sticker to create a "Make a Wish" Wand and filled the St. Patty's day "Tube" with green Spree candy and decorated it with Clover's and green bling.

Every 3rd Thursday of the month we hold a Girls Night Out.

A night for you tired moms and wives to get out of the house and do something for yourself.

Hello everybody-

We have a lot of buzz going on out at our Facebook page.

We have been offered a sweet deal on a great space over on Orchard St. We have heard and listened to you, our customers, that our current space..although cute...isn't convenient.

We knew when we moved in here that it was only temporary. We were hoping to move in on the 1st floor but it looks like that is not going to be an option anymore, therefore we have found a new place to house our store. We will have more cropping space and space for the inventory of the online store we will also be taking over in January (Martha's Choice). Soon you will be able to shop in your jammies and pick it up here.

Our new location is going to be at 40th (Emerson) and Orchard in the Emerson Courtyard complex and the best part is that there is a Forza coffee in our complex. We all know how scrapbooking and lattes go together.

We are working very hard to be your favorite scrapbook store and want to thank you for understanding and giving us your support. Good things are yet to come!

Arriving at Scrap That! shortly are two new collections from Kaiser Kraft...Hey Birdie and Jungle Bug.

Hey Birdie has a birds and trees theme in pinks and greens, awesome for little girl pictures or even a day at the park.

The Jungle Bug collections has "little boy" all over it. If you have a son, nephew or grandson, this collection is perfet for you!

We will be sure to let you know when these two wonderful collections have arrived at the store.

Christmas In July Mega Crop

Our NSD crop was such a hit that we have decided to host 3 Mega crops per year as well. Our first Mega Crop will be held on July 31st, 2010. Our theme will be Christmas in July. Get an early start on your Christmas cards!

It will start at 10 am and go until 11pm. Thats 13 straight hours of non stop scrapbooking for you girls. The price is only $40 dollars and will include a small goodie bag, one make n take, games and prizes, a light lunch and dinner and 20% off of our entire stock of Christmas product.

Saturday Night Crops

U-Turn Album
